Meet Vitor Zafer, one of Marshmelody’s producers!
Vitor Zafer is a conductor, composer, multi-instrumentalist and music producer for cinema, TV series, video games, musicals and theater.
Vitor studied piano at the Contraponto conservatory (2006), guitar at the Universidade Livre de Música (2008), professional audio at the Colégio de Aprendizagem Moderna (2011) and graduated with a degree in violin at the University of São Paulo (2013).
He is currently studying for a master’s degree in orchestral conducting at the State University of Santa Catarina.
Vitor has performed alongside great artists such as Johny Alf (2004) and Steve Vai (Masterclass 2016).
He has extensive experience as a conductor, having conducted orchestras, big bands and choirs at international music festivals in Brazil, Italy, Estonia and Finland. He was also in charge of large-scale shows, such as the world premiere of the Sonic Symphony Official Tour. He worked as a guest professor at the University of Turku and Rauma Musikiiopisto (Finland), Scuola Comunale di Musica G. Sarti (Italy) and Oficinas Culturais da USP (Brazil).
His film works include the films: Eu Fica Loko (2017), Tito e os Pássaros (2019), which was shortlisted for the 2019 Oscar; Chain Reaction for Amazon Prime (2021), You are not a Soldier for HBO (2022), Só if por Amor for Netflix (2022) and Tromba Trem the film for Disney+ (2023).
Recently, Vitor had 5 works awarded at the 2023 Cannes Festival. 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze lions.
